88' RIOT ANNIVERSARY AT TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK, LOWER EAST SIDE, NEW YORK CITY

This Saturday, August 6 is the anniversary of 88' Riot at Tompkins Square Park, from 2 PM to 6 PM, come a pass by and enjoy and support the bands, vendors, artists and neighbors in this iconic day. I will be there offering the @magazinsursystem 3R @lalinternacali and @tallercolmillo edition, also, I will bring for sell the @lalinternacali Salsa posters. It will be a nice summer day in the park, plenty of activities and stories.

EXPO: ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE: CALI TO NEW YORK CITY

From April 28 until June 10 of 2021, Colombia, and especially Cali and Bogotá were immersed in a fight between the youth population and the national government and the police; all this started because the central government in Bogotá wanted to apply a Tax Bill that would hit the poorness and middle class very hard. The young people did not just go out to protest this measure, they contributed with art to this huge movement. Finally, after many killings by the police and by paramilitary groups, the government pulled the tax bill out, but the protest remained alive for several weeks after it. Now, a group of young people in NYC will bring an expo about the posters that many artists from Cali and Bogotá made to reflect that moment in the history of Colombia. 

If you are in the town the next August 27, 28 and 29 don't miss the opportunity to know the talent from these artists, come and join the expo. Here is the invitation:
